Parking in downtown Ponce, Puerto Rico

Ponce’s urban center dazzles the visitor with the elegance of its majestic buildings; no wonder it is called “La Perla del Sur,” The Pearl of the South. Every day, visitors come to enjoy and take memorable photos in the unique “Parque de Bombas” The Fire Station, in front of the beautiful “Fuente de los Leones,” Fountain of the Lions, or by the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Tourists love coming to Ponce and many always ask: Where can I park my car?

To assist visitors, we created this directory of: Parking in Downtown Ponce

1. Municipal Parking (Free)
   - Location: Calle Mayor, Isabel corner. Google Maps.
   - Capacity: 75 vehicles.
   - Hours: Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
2. Isabel II Parking
   - Location: Isabel Street, Leon Street corner. Google Maps.
   - Capacity: 192 vehicles
   - Hours: Monday to Saturday from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm.

3. Calle Vives Parking
   - Location: Vives Street. Google Maps.
   - Capacity: 38 vehicles.
   - Hours: Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
4. Parking Plaza
   - Location: Comercio Street, Mayor Street corner. Google Maps.
   - Capacity: 60 vehicles.
   - Cost: $ 1.50 plus taxes for the first hour. Then .25 cents for each additional hour.
   - Hours: Monday to Friday from 7:00 am at 6:00 pm.
5. Dora Colón Clavell Urban Park (Free)
   - Location: Between Concordia Street and Marina Street. Google Maps.
   - Capacity: +100 vehicles.
   - Cost: Free.
6. CHC Concordia Parking
   - Location: Between Concordia Street, Aurora Street and Méndez Vigo Street. Google Maps.
   - Capacity: 98 vehicles.
   - Hours: Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm.
7. Plaza Vilariño Parking
   - Location: Sol Street between Union Street and Méndez Vigo Street. Google Maps.
   - Capacity: 45 vehicles.
   - Hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 8:00 am at 5:00 pm
8. Hotel Ponce Plaza Parking 
   - Location: Reina Street, Méndez Vigo Street corner. Google Maps. Note they had added additional parking on the corner of Reina and Union Street. 
   - Capacity: 175 vehicles.
   - Hours: 24/7.
   - Phone: (787) 813–5050.
9. Terminal Carlos Garay (Free) 
   - Location: Vives Street and Méndez Vigo Street. Google Maps.
   - Hours: Monday to Friday: 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Other Parking Options:

Besides the parking lots mentioned, cars can be parked on the sidewalk on most streets as long as you do not block a ramp, a fire hydrant, the entrance of a residence or a “non parking” area such as the “Zona de Descarga”.

Note: As of April 2019, the Parking Meters DO NOT work; you can freely park your car without having to pay. We will keep this information updated to make sure you can enjoy your visit to Ponce without the risk of a fine.
